Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky / Alaskan Malamute / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Odin! He is a 1-year-old neutered male husky mix weighing 59lbs. Odin is here looking for his new forever home after his previous dad fell ill and could no longer care for him. This sweet goober husky doesnât really fit his nameâs sake in most regards; he is a soft boy who loves to cuddle and lay on your lap and give kisses. Odin loves the company of other dogs, cats, and humans. He is playful, chatty, and very engaging. Odin is a cobber and enjoys using his mouth kind of like we humans use our hands. He will GENTLY guide you by the wrist or hand where he would like you to accompany him, whether that is to the backyard or to Valhalla, or if he is in the mood to play! we call this being mouthy, and while it can be a bit alarming, it is play and affection and can be trained away if wanted! While he is no god of war or death, he does indeed have a relentless pursuit for knowledge and is a very treat motivated and smart boy!! If you are looking to add a cutie who loves to wrestle and play to your life come meet Odin!

Breed overview
Overview:
The Alusky, a captivating hybrid of the Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky, originated from the desire to blend the best traits of these powerful Arctic breeds. Physically, they are medium to large dogs, boasting a thick double coat that comes in a variety of colors and often features the striking blue or bi-colored eyes inherited from the Husky, alongside the sturdy build of the Malamute. Temperamentally, Aluskys are known for being intelligent, energetic, and loyal. They thrive on human companionship and require significant exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While generally good with families, their high energy levels and strong prey drive mean they are less suited for apartment living and benefit from a secure yard. Potential owners should be aware of common health concerns like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye conditions, making responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups essential for a healthy companion.
