Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff / Mixed (short coat). This is Nina. She is a gorgeous Cane Corso. At approximately 4.5 years old, Nina has lots of love to give and fun time to share with some loving humans. Nina was rescued from people who were neglecting her but in foster care she is learning to trust, love and play. Nina needs a person who can give her time to adjust and also teach her some social skills. Nina loves a good walk and does well on a leash. She gets along well with cats but we think she will be best as the only doggo in the home. Nina loves fluffy toys and chewy snacks. Nina's adoption fee is $150. Prior to meeting or adopting one of our wonderful dogs, we ask that you please fill out our online Dog Adoption Application on our website AAFlorida. There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register. For more information about this dog or any others, you can contact us at aaFlorida2gmail. We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any dog. Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our sweet canines.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
