Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Meet Jaws Jaws is an approximately 3-month-old pup with a big personality and absolutely no fear! This little guy is all about adventure—he’s rough-and-tumble, endlessly curious, and loves to explore everything around him. He’s currently living with three adult dogs and loves to play. Jaws can be a bit relentless in his enthusiasm, so he’s hoping to find a canine sibling who is patient and willing to help teach him the ropes. Jaws is already neutered and has received 2 of his 3 puppy vaccinations. Because he’s not fully vaccinated yet, he’ll need a home with a private yard—apartment or townhome living isn’t the right fit for him at this time. He truly thrives outdoors, where he can sniff, explore, and soak up the sunshine. Like any young puppy, Jaws is still working on potty training but is doing great in his crate. He would do best in a home with older children or no children, as he can be mouthy while he learns appropriate play. He’ll need a patient family committed to guiding him through puppyhood. Jaws is a happy, spirited boy who’s ready to bring energy, fun, and lots of love to his forever home. He can’t wait to meet his furever family! He is available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
