Meet Canelo Canelo is a 5-year-old neutered German Shepherd mix who is still learning that the world isnât such a scary place. Heâs very nervous in the shelter environment, so our staff has been taking things slow to help him decompress and build confidence. Because of this, Canelo will need a patient adopter or foster who is willing to go at his pace while he acclimates and continues to build confidence. Despite his fears, Canelo has lived with another dog before and may do well with the right canine companion. If you currently have a dog, please bring them along for a meet and greet to ensure itâs a good match. Because he is still building confidence, Canelo would do best in a home without small children at this time. Youâre welcome to complete a dog adoption application while youâre here meeting himâour team will be happy to help!
