Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua (medium coat). Meet Bubbles! Bubbles is an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a small, adorable package! Donât let his age fool youâthis little guy is still active, playful, and ready to bring lots of joy to his forever home. Bubbles gets along well with cats and other small dogs, making him a great companion in a home with similar-sized furry friends. Larger dogs can make him a bit nervous, so he would feel most comfortable in a home without them. He has also spent time around children between the ages of 6â10 and has done well, especially with kids who understand how to be gentle and respectful. When itâs time to relax, Bubbles is a professional snuggler. His favorite place to be? Curled up under the covers, cozy and warm right next to his favorite person. Heâs also quite the fashion fanâhe happily wears sweaters and pajamas, making him the perfect cuddle buddy during chilly days. Bubbles is coming to us through no fault of his own. His previous family is facing homelessness and, with heavy hearts, made the difficult decision to find him a stable and loving home where he can continue to thrive. He is deeply loved and deserves a family who will cherish him just as much. If youâre looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate little companion who loves both fun and snuggles, Bubbles might just be your perfect match. Hello! I am new to the shelter! Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. I am a senior dog that is eligible for the Senior 2 Senior Adoption Program! The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - 24 Petwatch microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering Adoption fee: $95.00

Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
