Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Zoom Zoom! My name is Rink and I am a professional snuggler, treat stealer, and full-time playful and happy puppy! I came to MN from Missouri with my siblings with dreams of finding my forever family. My hobbies include tearing around the house, competitive treat eating, supervising my humans in all things they do, and napping in-between playtime. I’m learning basic commands and am catching on pretty quickly. Potty training can be fun- I'm learning how to ring a bell to tell my foster mom that I want to go outside. When I forget about the bell I use potty pads, but feel like I should have this nailed pretty soon! I love to snuggle with my humans during nap time. I’m learning how to be quiet while in my kennel and sleep there at night. I put myself to bed at night when I get tired and don't get up before 7am when it's time for breakfast. I love all doggie friends that I've met so far and have even gotten to play with a lot of small humans, which is fun because I love to give kisses. I’ve only been in a car a few times, but like it so far! Every day is a new adventure and I can’t wait to meet my new forever family! Is that you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
