Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Hello, my name is Flare and I am the most sweet and outgoing puppy you'll ever meet! I've never met a stranger and I say "hi" by giving lots of kisses and cuddles. I am spunky and love to play with all sorts of toys. I am in a foster home with dogs and cats and I do well with both of them. My foster parents joke that I am becoming a cat because I prefer their toys and try to play with them. I also love to wrestle with the big dog in my foster home. I like to follow people around the house and cuddle up with someone to fall asleep. I am super curious and will even join you in the shower if you let me. I will probably be a small-medium sized dog. I am still little so I am working on my potty training. My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX and it includes all my age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. Fill out an app at: toolkit.rescuegroups/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
