Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure T-bone #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . T-bone | 8-year-old Mixed Breed | Cozy Couch Companion with a Silly Trot T-bone is an 8-year-old, 32-pound tricolor sweetheart who has fully embraced the good life—soft couches, gentle routines, and plenty of love. She’s a low-energy girl who enjoys short walks, a bit of sniffing around the neighborhood, and then it’s right back to her favorite spot on the couch. In fact, she has an adorable habit of trotting quickly toward home at the end of walks, clearly eager to get back to her cozy place! She is pretty much fully house trained with little to no accidents and does well with a consistent potty routine. T-bone walks nicely on leash overall, though she may pull a bit at times. She can be left home alone for several hours and, while she may whine initially, she settles down and is not destructive. She’s also comfortable with a kennel when needed, especially with a little encouragement (and treats), though she much prefers snoozing outside of it. T-bone is a people-loving pup who enjoys affection and will happily rest her head on you or offer her paw to ask for more pets. She’s motivated by both food and love, with favorites like chicken and cheese earning her full attention. She also enjoys being brushed and taking in all the interesting smells on her walks. She coexists well with cats and generally ignores them, even in situations involving food or treats. However, T-bone would do best as the only dog in the home. While she mostly ignores other dogs, she has shown some jealousy when attention is directed elsewhere and may growl in those situations. T-bone would thrive in a calm, loving home without a lot of stairs, where she can relax, feel secure, and soak up all the affection she deserves. She may need a little patience when left alone and continued guidance around boundaries, but her easygoing, sweet nature makes her a wonderful companion. She also does best with softened food due to some dental sensitivity. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion who just wants to be near you (preferably on the couch), T-bone might be your perfect match. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $125. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: arrcolorado/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2.
