Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio. Additionally for CATS you may email JSheltoneulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclubgmail Meet Milo Milo is an incredibly cute 8-month-old shepherd mix weighing about 40 pounds—just the perfect size for an active, fun-loving companion. He’s already neutered and has a friendly, happy personality that shines with both people and other dogs. This sweet boy is full of love and intelligence. Milo is very smart and eager to connect, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding with his future family. Sadly, Milo lost his home simply because his previous family didn’t have time for a young dog. Through no fault of his own, he now finds himself in a shelter—but he deserves so much better. Milo is looking for a loving home where he can grow, play, and be the loyal companion he was meant to be. Whether foster or forever, giving him a chance could truly change his life. If you can help save Milo and give him the future he deserves, please reach out: steffeniegaprescuegmail

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
