Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed. Meet Sushi! Sushi is the tiniest, sweetest girl. She comes from a home with 17 dogs so she’s VERY dog friendly, adaptive, and easy going! She loves a squeaky toy and has the cutest hop-run you’ve ever seen. She has been incredibly sweet with the little humans in her foster home. Sushi sleeps all night quietly in her crate, but prefers to be near her humans and/or doggie friends during the day. While not exactly a lap dog (she prefers to lay near you vs on you - the backrest of her couch is her very favorite spot!), she will be your little shadow and follow you wherever you go! She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Sushi is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT SUSHI!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
