Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). #A5757842 Bluey Meet Bluey! A 3-year-old Chihuahua with a white and brown coat who weighs just 14 lbs. He arrived at the care center on 2/25 as an owner surrender after his owner moved. Bluey seemed pretty scared and overwhelmed at first and wasn’t ready to come out of his kennel, but he appeared calmer when volunteers would pass by. Even with loud barking from nearby dogs, he stayed quiet and observant. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
