Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (long coat). #A5759067 Ralph is a 9-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier who came in as a stray. Right now he isn’t feeling his best, which makes it a little hard to see his full personality, but even through his illness his gentle nature shines through. Ralph has calm, hopeful eyes and clearly wants to connect with the people around him. Despite not feeling well, he remains sweet, quiet, and friendly. He looks up from his kennel with a soft expression, showing he’s ready for kindness and comfort. With some care, rest, and love, Ralph has all the signs of being a wonderful companion. This handsome senior with his great hair deserves a warm home where he can heal and feel safe. -9 years old, male, found as a stray -Currently sick and recovering -Sweet, calm, and gentle demeanor -Friendly and seeking connection -Soft, hopeful eyes -Handsome coat and well-kept hair -Senior boy who deserves comfort and care RALPH’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/yLzu-q1ueVw For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lorunitedhopeforanimals ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
