Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Terrier (short coat). Ringo is a one‑year‑old, 50‑pound scruffy sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. We believe he may be an Airedale Terrier mixed with Aussie/Border Collie, and he truly embodies the best of both worlds: smart, energetic, playful, and full of charm. He LOVES other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to romp around with. Ringo is the kind of dog who turns every walk into an adventure and every yard into a playground. He’s young, bright, and eager to learn, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and appreciates a fun, spirited companion. Despite all that energy, Ringo has a sweet, affectionate side and loves being near his people. His scruffy coat and expressive eyes make him impossible not to fall for. If you’re looking for a joyful, lively, loyal friend who’s ready to join you on every adventure, Ringo is your guy. For a complete list of our pets and photos please visit our website fochp

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
