Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever. Meet Ghost a 3-year-old dog with a big personality and even bigger energy. Ghost is a fun, active guy who’s always ready to play. He loves people and has lived with kids before, doing well even with younger ones. He’s affectionate, enjoys being close to his people (yes, he will try to sit in your lap), and is always excited to be part of whatever you’re doing. He knows a few basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake, and generally walks well on a leash. That said, if he sees other animals, he can get pretty excited and will need someone who can help keep his focus. Ghost would do best in an active home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and burn off energy. He enjoys playing with other dogs but can get a little overstimulated, so a dog that can match his play style, or help correct him appropriately, would be a good fit. He does have a few habits his future home should be ready for: • He’s a jumper when excited and will need continued training • He can get into the trash and chew on things if given the chance • He should be kenneled when left alone and will need a heavy-duty crate Ghost isn’t a low-maintenance dog, but he’s a good dog who just needs structure, consistency, and an outlet for his energy.
