Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi, I’m Wiggle I’m a 44-pound pitbull mix (maybe with a little corgi in there, have you seen my short legs?!). I’ve spent most of my life in a shelter. But don’t let that fool you, I’ve got so much love saved up, just waiting for my person. I’m what you’d call a professional couch potato… like, 80% of the time you’ll find me snuggled up right next to you, soaking in all the love and just happy to be close. Being by my person is my favorite thing in the whole world. Now the other 20%? That’s when I turn into play mode I LOVE toys especially ballsand I’m always down to play with other dogs too. I also love going on walks ( I walk amazing on a leash) and car rides. I’m also crate trained and potty trained, so I already know how to be a really good house dog. All I’m missing is a home… and someone to call mine. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, slightly stubby-legged best friend, I think we might be perfect for each other. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
