Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Icee is a 1 year and 2 month old blue merle cattle dog with a striking coat and a bright, alert expression that shows just how tuned-in she is to the world around her. Like many cattle dogs, Icee is an intelligent and active girl who will thrive in a home that can keep both her mind and body engaged. Sheâs at a great ageâpast the tiny puppy stage but still young enough to learn, grow, and bond deeply with her future family. Icee would do best with someone who appreciates the working dog mindset and is ready to provide structure, consistency, and plenty of activity. Whether itâs walks, playtime, or learning new skills, sheâs the kind of dog who will enjoy having a job to do and a person to connect with. I am currently in foster! Please call to schedule a meet and greet appointment. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your dogâs adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Heartworm Tested - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
