Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). Meet Fluffy Yes... his name is Fluffy. No, he is not actually fluffy- but he is 100% lovable. Fluffy is an 8-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who found himself at the shelter after his owner no longer had time for him. Despite the change, he's handling it with quiet grace- just taking it all in and waiting patiently for his next chapter. In his previous home, Fluffy did wonderfully with children dof all ages and even learned his commands in Spanish (si, he's a smart boy and bilingual!) And here's the part that surprises everyone... Fluffy is a *calm* heeler. We know- shocking! But it's true. While he's attentive and aware of everything around him (as a good cattle dog should be), he carries himself with a laid-back, easygoing energy that makes him such a peaceful companion. He can be a little shy at first, almost like he doesn't want to impose or ask for attention. But once you start petting him, he gently leans in, soaking up the affection in the sweetest, quietest way. It's one of those moments that completely melts your heart. Fluffy listens like a champ, watches closely, and bonds deeply- he's the kind of dog who will be your steady, loyal shadow. If you're looking for a calm, respectful, and incredibly devoted companion, Fluffy might just be your perfect match. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
