Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Location: Watsontown, PA AVAILABLE Trip Watsontown, PA Trip is brother to Wink and Ollie. He is the largest of the three weighing in at about 18 pounds. He is a big broad chested little dude. They are 14 weeks and up to date on their vaccinations. Very active, coordinated and fearless. Trip gets along with the big dogs but could be nicer to the cats. He loves chasing balls, but would rather chase a brother. All three love the big yard with its tunnels…racing through, circling and then back through. It’s an endless game. Not completely potty trained but getting close. Eating is a favorite activity…they always want more. Quiet all night in their pen. Questions email millergrizpagmail or fill out an application at Adoption Application | acdra

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
