Dog Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Meet Clara! Clara and her siblings were found on the side of the road in Eastern Washington, along with their sweet mom Lola. We don’t know what breed mix they are, but they’re all very adorable. We expect them to grow into medium sized adult dogs. Clara is such a fun, sweet girl. She's about 8 weeks old now and her wonderful personality is starting to blossom. She has lots of puppy energy and will love to join her future family on all of their adventures, but also loves to cuddle up in your arms. She's a great balance of energy and chill. She would love a home with a canine sibling to play with and show her the ropes, but doesn't need one. Clara has received her first puppy vaccinations, microchip and deworming. She will be spayed between 8 and 12 months, which is included in the adoption fee. Her adoption fee is $525. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
