Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Jean-Ralphio is a bundle of sweetness who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of puppy love into his forever home! This adorable little guy is already off to a great start—he’s doing very well with outdoor housebreaking and crate training (no pads needed!) and is eager to keep learning as he grows. Jean-Ralphio is a happy, well-socialized puppy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. He has a gentle, slightly more submissive personality compared to his bigger sister, Mona Lisa, and tends to be the quieter, more easygoing one of the pair. He absolutely loves playing with the big dog in his foster home and soaking up all the snuggles he can get from the kids. In fact, being held and cuddled is one of his favorite things! As a young pup, Jean-Ralphio is still learning about the world and will need a family ready to continue his training and provide the time, patience, and structure all puppies need. In return, you’ll get a loving, loyal companion who will grow right alongside you. Whether your home is busy or calm, Jean-Ralphio is adaptable and ready to fit right in—as long as there’s plenty of love to go around! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
