She isn’t just stunning to look at, she carries a heart so gentle, so kind, it feels almost magical. The kind of soul who chooses love first, every single time. At just 3 years old, Chica is the full package. She’s crate trained, house trained, obedient, and deeply devoted to her people. She moves through life with a calm sweetness that makes her easy to live with and impossible not to adore. And here’s where the magic really shines… Chica is both dog AND cat friendly. Yes, truly. A unicorn in every sense of the word. Chica came from a very loving home where she was well cared for and cherished. Her owner made the incredibly selfless decision to surrender her when entering the military, knowing the long time away wouldn’t be fair to her. That choice… as hard as it was… was the ultimate act of love. Because of it, Chica now has the chance to continue living the beautiful life she deserves. She is currently in a foster-to-adopt home through United Doberman Rescue, where she’s settling in and showing just how special she is. As always, our foster families get the first opportunity to adopt. And here’s the little secret door into rescue… If you’ve been thinking about adopting, fostering is your golden ticket. It gives you the chance to truly get to know a dog in your home. If it’s the perfect match, you can adopt. If not, you’ve still changed a life forever by giving that dog a safe place to land. United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Incomplete applications may be denied.(uniteddobermanrescue) We are 100% volunteer, please read adoption requirements BEFORE reaching out to us. Home Visit: A volunteer will schedule a home visit to assess the environment and discuss your expectations. All household members, including children, must be present.(uniteddobermanrescue) Veterinary Reference Check: Provide contact information for your current veterinarian. All existing pets must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventative.(uniteddobermanrescue) Meeting Dogs: Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs in their foster homes. If you have a resident dog, consult with the foster about bringing them along. Adoption Finalization: If a suitable match is found, you'll sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Due to COVID-19 precautions, same-day adoptions are currently permitted. Key Adoption Policies Age Requirement: Adopters must be at least 21 years old and reside in the home where the dog will live.(uniteddobermanrescue) WE do NOT ship our dogs ever!!! Children: Adult dogs are not placed in homes with children under 6 years old. Puppies may be considered for such homes if a fenced yard is present.(uniteddobermanrescue) Living Arrangements: Dogs must live indoors and not be left unattended outdoors. Training Commitment: Adopters should be prepared to continue training and socialization. Formal obedience classes are encouraged.(uniteddobermanrescue) Health Considerations: Dobermans are prone to certain health issues. Adopters should be financially prepared for potential veterinary expenses and consider pet insurance.
