Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Hound / Mixed. Meet Butter Butter has had a tough start to life, spending much of it outdoors with very little human interaction. Because of this, he’s still learning that people can be kind and loving—but he’s already making amazing progress. He’s a super playful boy with a big personality! Butter loves to play fetch and will happily chase after a ball as long as you’re willing to throw it. He’s also incredibly affectionate once he warms up, and he’s known for giving the sweetest kisses. Butter is crate trained and is doing well with structure and routine, which helps him feel safe and secure. He may need a little patience as he continues to build confidence and learn the ins and outs of living in a home, but he’s eager to please and responds well to gentle guidance. We’re still working on introducing Butter to cats, so his compatibility is currently unknown. Slow, supervised introductions will be important if there are feline friends in the home. Butter would do best with an adopter who can continue to provide him with love, consistency, and positive experiences. With a little time and patience, he’s going to grow into an incredibly loyal, fun, and affectionate companion.
