Description
Dog Breed: Bichon Frise. **ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Dapper Dash, a distinguished 9yearold, 16-pound Bichon with charm to spare. Dash is a devoted little companion who thrives in a calm, adult home with people who understand dogs and can keep him safe, especially since he’s quick to slip out an open door if given the chance. He’s in excellent health for his age, complete with a bright spirit and impressively good teeth. Dash loves being near his people, enjoys short outings, and doesn’t need long walks to stay happy. A change of scenery and a bit of adventure keep him cheerful. Dash has lived a pampered life and is ready for an adopter who will continue that care and structure. If you’re an experienced dog person looking for a loyal, affectionate sidekick, Dash may be your perfect match. This dog's adoption fee is $400 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). Overview:
The Bichon Frise is a charming and vivacious small dog breed, often described as a "little white puffball." Originating in the Mediterranean, they were historically popular among European nobility. Physically, Bichons are characterized by their soft, curly, double coat of pure white fur, dark, expressive eyes, and a plumed tail carried over their back. Their temperament is generally affectionate, playful, and cheerful, making them excellent companions. They are known for being very sociable and thrive on human interaction, often getting along well with children and other pets, making them a superb choice for families and first-time dog owners. Due to their relatively small size and moderate exercise needs, they are also highly adaptable to apartment living, provided they receive regular walks and playtime. While generally robust, Bichons can be prone to certain health issues, including dental disease, patellar luxation, and allergies, highlighting the importance of responsible breeding and veterinary care.
