Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. At around 6 years old, Pixie is the perfect blend of playful spirit and cozy companion. She’s the kind of dog who greets every day (and every person) like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her. Seriously, her happiness is contagious. Pixie is super sweet and absolutely adores people. Whether you’re a lifelong dog lover or meeting her for the first time, she’s already decided you’re her new best friend. She lives for affection and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. Being held? Yes please. Lounging on the couch? Even better. If you’re looking for a little shadow who just wants to be close to you, Pixie is your girl. She hasn’t been fully tested with cats yet, but with a slow and proper introduction, she may do just fine. Pixie is truly one of those dogs who doesn’t ask for much, just a soft place to land, some love, and a human to call her own. In return, she’ll give you endless joy, companionship, and a whole lot of tail wags. If your home is missing a little extra love (and maybe a permanent cuddle buddy), Pixie might just be exactly who you’ve been waiting for You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
