Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Boxer / Mixed (medium coat). Hi! My name is Gaston. I am a sweet, smart, energetic and playful pup. My favorite game is fetch. If you throw my favorite toy for me, I will run like the wind, pick it up, come back, and drop it in front of you. Then I will back off a few feet and play-bow politely to beg you to throw it again! I can be selective with other dogs, so I need to be the only dog in the home. I'm still learning to love being touched all over, so I need patient grown-ups who'll let me set the pace - which means I'm looking for a home without kids under 12. Will you come meet me and play with me?

Breed overview
Overview:
The Boxador, a popular designer dog, is a lively crossbreed resulting from the union of a Boxer and a Labrador Retriever. Originating in North America, this hybrid was developed to combine the best traits of its parent breeds, creating a loyal and energetic companion. Physically, Boxadors are medium to large-sized dogs with a muscular build, typically weighing between 50-80 pounds. Their coat is short and dense, varying in color from brindle and fawn to black and chocolate, often displaying the distinctive Boxer mask or the gentle Lab expression. Temperamentally, they are known for being friendly, intelligent, and highly social, making them excellent family pets that thrive on interaction. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they require regular exercise and are best suited for homes with yards rather than small apartments. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, certain cancers, and heart conditions like aortic stenosis.
