Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Meet Wasabi! Wasabi may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and patience and you’ll quickly see his true personality shine. Once he warms up, he becomes your best friend furever, full of love, loyalty, and endless affection. This sweet boy has a playful spirit and a fun little quirk.....he actually skips when he runs! Wasabi loves toys, zooming around, and playing with other furbabies, making him a perfect companion for an active home or one with other pets. Don’t let his energy fool you, though Wasabi is also a cuddle bug at heart. After playtime, he’s happiest curled up on your lap, enjoying some cozy TV time and soaking in all the love. He is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, good with kids and all dogs. Should do well with cats with a proper introduction. If you’re looking for a dog who will grow with you, love you deeply, and keep you smiling every day, Wasabi is ready to steal your heart. He has had 1 vet visits, is neutered, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal tests. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
