Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Meet Simon — and Simon says… adopt me! This handsome boy is as charming as his name suggests. Simon says he’s sweet, and it’s absolutely true—he’s got a gentle, loving personality that makes him an instant favorite with everyone he meets. Simon says he’s leash trained and well-mannered, so walks are a breeze and he’s a joy to have by your side wherever you go. Simon says he travels well, whether it’s a quick trip to the park or a longer adventure, he’s happy just being along for the ride. Most of all, Simon says he’s a velcro dog—he loves to stick close to his person and soak up all the attention he can get. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will always be by your side, Simon is your guy. Simon says… your home is missing something—and it might just be him.~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website hbpr. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
