Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $450-$550 + MN tax. ** Foster Homes Needed!** The Frankies, are two pups that look very similar. One is 10 mos old and about 22lbs, the other is 6 mos old and about 20lbs. They are from a rescue effort in Tijuana and they need to come to rescue so they can get adopted. We are looking for a foster home for them, foster to adopt, or adopter. (They can be split up!) They have been altered and are UTD on vaccines. Please reach out to us with more questions. They have a chance to come to us April 15th if we can get foster homes for them! In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
