This beautiful Shepinois (a mix of Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd) truly is the total package everyone dreams of. Thanks to one of our amazing volunteers, Maxxi was taken in just before animal control picked her up. At about a year old, she had been abandoned near a fire station in Northern California — but her story is only getting better from here. Maxxi is an active girl who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and splashing around in the water. She’s currently living with cats and doing well, though her foster reports she definitely enjoys chasing (and catching!) birds. She absolutely adores her humans and will happily be your shadow, always ready for attention and endless belly rubs. Maxxi is still working through some separation anxiety but is improving every single day. She can be a bit sensitive to corrections, yet she’s incredibly smart and already picking up on the “doggy ropes” quickly. Could Maxxi be your forever girl? The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
