Description
Dog Breed: Corgi (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350.00. Star is super sweet 9 month old girl that is looking for her forever family. She tends to love her person so much she can get some jealously when other dogs are looking for attention also. We would describe her as a couch potato so if your looking for a cuddle buddy she would be perfect. Of course she wouldn't mind a daily walk to stay in shape. Star is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. She is available for adoption at the Pet Pantry's main facility, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster. If you think she may be the purrfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available at our location as well as online at petpantrylc. From there, our adoption coordinator will be in touch!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
