Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). DOB: 2/26/25 Approx. Weight: 12 Lbs Adoption Fee: $300 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Tuffy is an adorable Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix born 2/26/25, weighing about 12 pounds. He’s a fun-loving, energetic puppy who’s always ready to play—especially when it comes to toys and a good game of fetch! He loves other dogs, enjoys kids, and is happiest when he’s with his people, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or snuggling on the couch (or in bed!). Tuffy is still very much a puppy and learning the ropes. He’s very close to being housebroken and just needs a little consistency. He’s not a fan of long periods in a crate and would much rather be part of the action. He does like to chase cats, squirrels, and birds—he just wants to play—but because of that, a home without cats or with very dog-savvy ones would be best. Tuffy would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and burn off his puppy energy. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate little companion who will keep you smiling, Tuffy is your guy! I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient. You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
