Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Sweet Luna Luna may have arrived at the shelter feeling scared and unsure, but with a little time and kindness, her sweet nature has begun to shine through. This gentle girl is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. On one outing, she happily sat while two volunteers chatted, soaking up their attention and patiently waiting. Being out of her kennel clearly makes her happy, and her excitement sometimes shows with a few joyful hops—but it’s easy to see she just wants to connect. Luna walks nicely on leash, knows “sit,” and is happily motivated by treats, making her a wonderful candidate for continued learning and bonding. She’s currently living with two other dogs, and they seem perfectly content with her, showing her easygoing and social side. With a little reassurance and a lot of love, Luna will continue to blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. She’s ready for a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and finally relax into being someone’s beloved girl. Luna (FKA Butterscotch) has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
