Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Corgi (short coat). CHULO came to us with his sister, CHISPITA, when their family could no longer care for them. Both are shy but Chulo is the bolder of the two. He has learned how to walk on a leash. Enjoys the company of his sister and should do well with other dogs. Totally ignores the cats in our cat room. Chulo looks like a tiny German Shepherd with a nub tail! He is one year old and has been neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and tested negative for heartworms and tickborne diseases. Looking for a calm and confident family who can help him be all the dog he can be (i.e., more than just a big fenced yard – gradual outings, walks in the park etc.). Chulo appears to be housebroken and keeps a tidy crate. Approximately 11 pounds. If you are the patient loving family he is looking for, please fill out an application at panimals. Adoption $250.

Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
