Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hey hey!! Iâm Dax! I just arrived here as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery, but my future? Oh, itâs looking like a whole lot of fun!! Iâm a young pitbull mix with a BIG personality and an even bigger zest for life. If youâre looking for a dog who brings the party with him⦠thatâs me. Iâm super playful and full of energy so zoomies are definitely part of the package. I can be a little bouncy, but thatâs just because I get so excited to see my people. Iâm still working on my manners, so Iâll need someone whoâs ready to help me learn, but hereâs the best part: I am VERY food motivated. Seriously, snacks make me your instant best friend. If youâve got treats and a little patience, Iâm ready to learn anything you want to teach me. Sit? Stay? World domination? Count me in. Under all that energy, Iâm just a really sweet boy who loves attention and being around people. Iâll keep you laughing, keep you moving, and then happily crash by your side after a day of adventures. My dream is to find a home with someone active who can keep up with my fun-loving energy, a family ready to help me grow into my best self, and plenty of snacks (non-negotiable, obviously!) Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
