LOCATION: Dallas, TX DOB: 06/13/2023 Meet Gunther (Gunny), the Resilient and Loving Great Dane Introducing Gunther, affectionately known as Gunny, a male Great Dane who has shown incredible resilience. Gunny came into rescue very sick with pneumonia but fought back and is now healed and ready to start his new life. Gunny is leash trained with exceptional leash skills and knows basic obedience commands like sit, down, and stay. He is house trained and prefers his dog bed over the people bed. One of his favorite pastimes is looking out the window, watching the world go by. Gunny is good with other dogs after a supervised introduction. He loves his toys and hasn’t touched anything other than his own. He even throws the rope to himself for some solo playtime. When he wants attention, he’ll lay his neck over your face, showing his loving nature. While he can be puppy-like and playful at times, he is overall very relaxed. Gunny communicates with growls and sometimes snarls, but his quarrels are all bark and no bite. He settles easily and is muzzle trained. He doesn't like a stranger getting too personal so he is muzzle trained for vetting Gunny needs a home with no kids and someone who has experience with Great Danes.
