Description
Dog Breed: Husky / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Currently located at our Evansville, IN location Meet Meshy — a gorgeous Husky mix with a heart as big as her puppy paws! This sweet girl came into our care as a stray and is approximately 7 months old. While we don’t know much about her past, we do know her future is bright. Meshy is a total cuddle bug who absolutely loves being close to her people. For a young Husky mix, she has that perfect blend of playful puppy energy and snuggly sweetness. She enjoys attention, affection, and would happily curl up next to you after a little playtime. Don’t be surprised if she tries to climb right into your lap — she hasn’t quite figured out how big she’s getting! Meshy would thrive in a foster home where she can continue learning routines, building confidence, and getting all the love she deserves. At her age, she’s ready to soak up training and guidance like a sponge. If you’re ready to open your home to a cuddly, loving girl who just wants to be someone’s best friend, Meshy is waiting for you. Apply to foster at ITVrescue. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labsky, a charming crossbreed of the Labrador Retriever and the Siberian Husky, originated from the desire to combine the best traits of its beloved parent breeds. Physically, they are medium to large dogs, often exhibiting a fascinating blend of features; expect a robust build, varying coat colors and textures (from sleek black to fluffy merle), and captivating eye colors, sometimes even heterochromia. Temperamentally, Labskies are known for being intelligent, energetic, and loyal. They thrive on human companionship and require significant mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom, making them best suited for active families or individuals with a large, securely fenced yard. Due to their energy levels and potential for vocalization, they are generally not ideal for apartment living. While typically healthy, they can inherit predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain skin allergies, so responsible breeding and regular vet check-ups are crucial.
