Description
Dog Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier (medium coat). Meet Lexus! Lexusâaffectionately known as Lexiâis as sweet and easygoing as they come. Lexi is the kind of dog who seems to love everyone and everything she meets. Friendly and excited when greeting new people, it always comes from a place of joy and connection. Sheâs social with other dogs, has lived comfortably with small dogs and teens, and while she hasnât spent much time around cats, she tends to be more curious or unsure than anything else. At home, Lexi is low-maintenanceâsheâs been trusted with free roam of the house and has had no unwanted behaviors when left alone. Sheâs house-trained, rarely barks, and responds well to direction and redirection, making her pretty easy to live with. On walks, sheâs generally polite and enjoys exploring. Most of all, Lexi is simply a good girl through and throughâaffectionate, social, and eager to be part of whatever her people are doing.

Breed overview
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
A.K.A.: Stafford, Staffy, English Staffy, Staffie, Nanny Dog
Overview:
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, affectionately known as a "Staffy," is a robust and agile breed originating from 19th-century England, bred for its strength and courage. Physically, they are compact and muscular, with a broad head, pronounced cheek muscles, and a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors. Despite their powerful appearance, Staffies are renowned for their affectionate and gentle nature, particularly towards children, earning them the nickname "nanny dog." They are intelligent, highly trainable, and thrive on human companionship, making them excellent family pets. Their relatively small size and moderate exercise needs mean they can adapt well to apartment living, provided they receive daily walks and mental stimulation. Generally a healthy breed, they can be prone to certain conditions like L-2-Hydroxyglutaric Aciduria (L2HGA), hereditary cataracts, and patellar luxation, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. With proper socialization and training, a Staffy will be a loyal, devoted, and entertaining companion.
