Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Cookie Cookie is a sweet 2-year-old girl with the kind of personality everyone falls in love with. She is very dog friendly, loving, social, and just an all-around wonderful dog. Cookie met Daphne, who came from a different shelter, and the two became instant best friends. They are even kenneled together and do amazing as buddies. We do separate them at feeding time, but otherwise they enjoy each other’s company and have built such a sweet friendship. Cookie does great out in public, loves toys, and enjoys having companionship. She is great with people, has no stranger danger, is house trained, and is not destructive. Cookie must go to a home with another dog. She truly enjoys having a dog friend and will do best with a family that already has a friendly, compatible dog for her to bond with. Cookie is ready for her forever family. ❤️ Rescue: AZ Mastiff Rescue Website: azmastiffrescue Hashtags: #MeetCookie #CookieTheSweetGirl #AZMastiffRescue #AdoptCookie #DogFriendlyDog #NeedsADogFriend #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #MastiffRescue #BigDogRescue #ArizonaDogs #RescueDogsOfInstagram #ForeverHomeNeeded #AdoptMe #SweetGirl #DogLovers

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
