Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Arwen This sweet cutie pie is around 7 to 9 months old and full of playful puppy energy. Arwen is super dog friendly and does great in playgroups with both male and female dogs. Her ideal home would include a large-breed male dog who can be her buddy and match her playful energy. Like many young Corsos, Arwen has an active, rough-and-tumble play style, so she would do best with a family who understands the breed and can continue helping her learn good manners. Arwen is still jumpy when she gets excited, and we are working with her on getting that under control. Because of that, no younger kids for this girl right now. Older kids who are comfortable around large, playful dogs would be best. Arwen is sweet, fun, dog social, and ready for a family who will help her grow into the amazing dog she is meant to be. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
