Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Sabine was born on December 26, 2026. She is 3/4 German Shepard and 1/4 Doberman Pinscher. She loves to play with us as well as her brothers and sisters. She is curious and never wants to miss out on the action. She is from an accidental breeding and, unfortunately, we cannot keep them all. Her mother is about 65 lbs. and her father is about 85 lbs. and both are high energy but well behaved. They also have strong guarding instincts. Sabine is the largest female of her litter so she will likely be a large, active dog and will need training and space to run. She has been a delightful puppy so far! **** Breed: German Shepard/Doberman Pinscher **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2196117&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
