Probably part Pomeranian, part beagle, and definitely convinced he’s a miniature mountain goat sent here to supervise your heart. He loves other dogs, food, and tug-of-war (he wins by convincing you to drop it so he can win again). His ranking is clear: human affection is #1, then snacks are #2, running around is #3. If you sit, he’s on you. If you’re sad, he’s on it. If you say “outside” he achieves liftoff. Adopt this pocket mountain goat and gain 24/7 patrol of your lap, your mood, and any crumbs that dare appear. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Drax is currently being fostered in South Carolina. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
