Description
Dog Breed: Pug / Chihuahua / Mixed. Meet Chameleon — The Littlest Brother With the Biggest Heart Chameleon is a 4‑month‑old pug mix puppy who is so ready to climb straight into his forever lap. He may be the smallest of his siblings, but he makes up for it with pure sweetness, endless cuddles, and a heart that could fill a whole room. This little guy is a certified Velcro puppy — always under your feet, always wanting to be held, and always looking for the nearest lap to melt into. While he’s still very much a baby, he’s absolutely going to be that forever baby: the one who wants to be snuggled, carried, doted on, and smothered in love for the rest of his life. Chameleon is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s pressed right up against his person. If you’re looking for a tiny shadow with a huge heart, this little pug mix is ready to wiggle his way into your arms and never let go. Because Chameleon is a high‑energy, still‑developing Puppy, he will do best in a home that can keep up with his activity level, play needs, and ongoing socialization. We are looking for adopters who are comfortable with a very active youngster and able to provide consistent interaction, enrichment, and supervision. Chameleon's adoption fee is $350, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Breed overview
Overview:
The "Chug," a delightful crossbreed of the Chihuahua and Pug, originated from the desire to combine the best traits of both beloved parent breeds. Physically, Chugs typically inherit a compact build, weighing between 10-20 pounds, with a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors, often displaying the Pug's characteristic wrinkled face and the Chihuahua's expressive eyes. Their temperament is generally a charming mix of the Pug's affectionate and playful nature with the Chihuahua's spirited and loyal disposition, making them wonderful companions. Chugs are highly adaptable, excelling in both apartment living and homes with families, including those with older children, though early socialization is key. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of predispositions to respiratory issues (due to their brachycephalic features), patellar luxation, and eye conditions, making regular veterinary check-ups important for their long-term well-being.
