Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. “Brisket is the most respectful boy you will ever meet!” Quote straight from his foster. Brisket came to us after he had been running around town for a MONTH. He is a sneaky boy and had found the perfect hiding place, was too smart for traps, and would not approach you. Now this 7 year old is ready to find his forever home. He is potty trained and crate trained-however, his foster doesn’t kennel him anymore as he just sleeps all day. Brisket loves to play with stuffies, his cutest attribute is he will show anyone his “lamb chop” toy. He gets along with kitties and all the dogs he has met so far. Brisket is not a big cuddler but he does love getting attention. He rides very well in the car, so well that you forget he is there. If you are looking for someone to be your right hand man, your look is over. Brisket is down for adventures, naps, stuffy toys, whatever you want he is ready to do it. His food motivation makes him an absolute dream to teach new things to.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
