Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Age: approx 6 years old Weight: 35 lbs My adoption fee is $ 399 which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Holly is a sweet energetic pup that loves to love. She needs to be an only dog in the home. She loves to go on walks and play fetch. Great in the car and will go everywhere with you. She loves to go to the pet store. She'll go grocery shopping (as long as she stays in the cart). She is timid and shy and does not like loud noises. She loves to cuddle and sleep with you. She loves to look out the window but is not a fan of cats. If you leave her alone for a few hours you can here her down the street crying tears of joy for you to be home. She will recognize your car. She is very smart and will need to be the only dog in the home with other adults and teenage children. She did come from Texas as a pup with a broken front paw but the vet felt no need to amputate it. She sometimes walks with a limp but that's just after playing or going for a long walk. She runs fine. If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website: .smalldogrescuene/

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
