Name: Fish Best Guess for Breed: Pomeranian / Corgi mix Best Guess for Age: 7 years as of February 2026 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 28 lbs as of February 2026; he needs to lose a few Gets Along With: other dogs. Fish lived with a cat that he sometimes tried to chase. He cannot go to a home with kids under age 12. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Fish needs an experienced owner and cannot go to a home with kids under age 12. He is more comfortable with women than his is with men. Fish is Looking For: This adorable Pomeranian–Corgi mix is the perfect blend of small‑dog sweetness and big‑dog personality. At 7 years old, he’s past the puppy chaos but still full of curiosity, expression, and joy. He loves being near his people, greeting each day with a wagging tail and a hopeful look that says, “What are we doing next?” Fish would love a home that offers a calm, predictable environment. He wants a companion who will provide him with a predictable routine and handle him respectfully. Fish may be short but he has big feelings. Soft beds, cozy blankets, and a warm lap or nearby spot to snooze will quickly win him over. What My Foster Says About Me: Fish wants a Mommy! Outside on walks Fish gets along with everyone but at home, this low rider will quickly choose a woman to be his person.
