Or go here: Application – Carolina Poodle Rescue Here's Your Quick Peek: Argus has less live experience then your typical dog. He is still learning that life is fun and to be celebrated, not feared. He is shy and nervous and needs time to settle before he trusts. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application/ Must have: An owner committed to good medical care - Argus needs regular dentals and has bad knees. Another dog in the home. Exercise: Argus is playful and enjoys running around with his friends. Best with: Calm quiet environments, families with rescue dog experience, slow gentle approach. Not ideal for: Changing environments, loud confident approach. Energy level: Moderate, he likes to play but also likes to chill. Argus will need time, patience and a lot of love to settled. He has never been someone's beloved pet before and he is learning. He will need all training, house, leash and crate training. Good with dogs: YES! A must have in his life. Good with kids: We would not recommend Argus to a family with children under 15. Cats: UNK but Argus is sweet and timid. Fun fact: Argus was a 'all seeing' watchman in Greek mythos and, our Argus is an all-seeing boy too. He watches before he acts! Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Overview:
The elegant Maltese is a delightful toy breed renowned for its captivating beauty and charming personality. Originating from the island of Malta, these ancient dogs were once favored companions of European nobility. Physically, they are characterized by their single coat of long, silky, pure white hair that gracefully drapes over a compact, well-proportioned body, typically weighing between 4-7 pounds. Their expressive dark eyes and black button nose add to their adorable appeal. Temperamentally, Maltese are known for being affectionate, playful, and intelligent, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They thrive on human companionship and are generally excellent with children and other pets, provided they are socialized early. Their small size and relatively low exercise requirements make them ideal for apartment living and suitable for families of all types, including first-time dog owners. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of common breed-specific concerns such as dental issues and luxating patellas.
