She’s still figuring the world out, so she can be a bit spooky at times- new sights, sounds, and people make her pause and take things at her own pace. But behind those cautious eyes is a sweet soul who just needs a little patience and understanding to truly shine. She has spent time with another dog and tends to take on a bit of a bossy role, so she may do best with a calm, respectful canine companion - or possilby as the queen of her own castel for now. She’s still sorting out how she feels about other dogs and strangers, so slow introductions and a steady routine will help her build confindence. Once she feels safe, her loving nature starts to come through. If you’ve got a soft spot for the shy, stron types and the patience to help her grow, this low-riding sweetheart could turn into your most devoted companion.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
