Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Meet Scout, a handsome 12-week-old brindle puppy with a gentle soul and so much love to give. With his unique coat and soft, expressive eyes, he’s as striking as he is sweet. He can be a little shy at first, especially in new environments or around unfamiliar people, but once he feels safe, his true personality begins to shine. With a bit of patience and kindness, he warms up into a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys quiet moments, gentle play, and being close to his people. This thoughtful pup would do best in a home that can offer reassurance and a calm, supportive environment while he continues to build confidence. Positive reinforcement and steady routines will help him blossom into a happy, secure dog. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give him the time he needs to come out of his shell, this sweet brindle boy will reward you with a lifetime of love and devotion. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
