If you are interested in Sadie, please text Jessica at 901-279-5823 . Sadie is a 1½-year-old playful and loving dog looking for a new home. She is great with kids, house-trained, and full of energy. Sadie loves to run, play, and be around her people, and would do best with a family that enjoys an active and happy dog. She is a loyal and affectionate companion who will bring lots of love and happiness to the right home. Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and has an appointment scheduled for her yearly vaccinations. Memphis area adoption fee is $250 All dogs are spayed or neutered {unless medical issues prohibit the surgery}, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested {if old enough} and treated if necessary. They also are de-wormed and start heartworm and flea prevention when rescued. It is continued until adopted. Adopter is furnished with their 1st month's heartworm prevention. ** Out of State adoption fee is $500 and includes a $175 non refundable transportation fee paid to an approved animal transportation company. Several states require the dog to be quarantined 48 hours before pickup. The adopter pays the quarantine fee at time of pick up. Unless otherwise indicated Your Adoption Fee Includes Microchip Spay or Neuter All age appropriate vaccinations * Local 2 week trial adoption Adopter's first Month's Heartworm prevention 2 week supply of food to transition to your brand of food. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
