Description
Dog Breed: Terrier. Here’s a more compelling, heart-tugging version that still feels natural and adoption-focused: Meet Julia If joy had a face, it would be hers. Julia is a young, playful girl with a spark that’s impossible to ignore. She’s the kind of pup who turns ordinary moments into something special—whether she’s bouncing around with her dog friends or curiously exploring the world like everything is brand new (because to her, it is). Julia has a dynamic, fun-loving personality balanced with a sweetness that sneaks up on you. One minute she’s full of playful energy, the next she’s looking at you with those eyes that say, “you’re my person.” And that’s all it takes—you’re hooked. She’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home where she can play, learn, and keep growing into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. Be warned: you won’t just like Julia… you’ll fall completely in love. Please note we do not usually adopt outside of San Diego County and surrounding areas.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
